EDWARD DENNISTON has been making poems for a long time. He was born in Longford, Ireland in 1956. He attended Trinity College Dublin and has lived in Waterford since 1980. In 2014 he retired from teaching English and Drama at Newtown School, Waterford, Ireland. His most recent collection is VITAL (Compost Poetry, Oct, 2023). In 2018 Edward collaborated with Irish composer Eric Sweeney to produce Hospital Voices, a choir work in celebration of 25 years of Waterford Healing Arts Trust. He also edited the anthology, Teachers Who Write (2018). In 2021, in collaboration with composer Grainne Mulvey, Entry and Exit Wound was performed at Smock Alley Dublin, a work for text, flute and electronics.
